The Sacred Rule of Urbex: Preservation Through Non-Interference

As abandoned industrial sites and historical ruins become increasingly popularized across digital media, the delicate balance between documentation and destruction has reached a critical juncture. At Minglebox Studio, our operational framework is built upon three non-negotiable ethical pillars designed to preserve fragile architectural history.

1. Strict Non-Destructive Access

We never force locks, smash windows, cut fencing, or modify structures to gain access. If a site is sealed, it remains unphotographed until legitimate permission or open access is established. Breaking structural barriers compromises building security and opens abandoned spaces to weather degradation and arson.

2. Location Obfuscation & Security Protocol

GPS coordinates and explicit entry routes for vulnerable or unmonitored sites are intentionally withheld in public documentations. Unfiltered geotagging frequently results in rapid site degradation, copper theft, graffiti vandalism, and severe physical accidents involving untrained visitors.

3. Zero Artifact Removal ("Take Only Photos")
